NPORS

NPORS is a HSE Accrediting Body

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognise NPORS as a competent organisation to accredit, monitor and train Instructors/Training Providers to deliver Operator training and testing. Recognition by the HSE is intended to help set and maintain professional training standards, helping employers select the training organisations who offer a good standard of training.

As accrediting body we believe each employer should satisfy themselves that the training and testing of their employees, is provided by Instructors who have appropriate skills and training in the required instructional techniques, ensuring their employees receive the appropriate training for the equipment they are required to use.

Voluntary Code of Practice (VCOP)

The Voluntary Code of Practice (VCOP) is based upon an original idea developed by NPORS, along with the members of the Off-highway Plant and Equipment Research Centre (OPERC) the VCOP was developed and refined.

The VCOP for Plant and Equipment provides practical guidance on best practice for the provision and management of plant and equipment operator training courses and competence development.
