The Health and Safety Executive believe that as a Training Provider accredited to one of the recognised bodies an employer can select an organisation who can provide a good standard of training. While employers may operate their own in-house training schemes, they may find it useful to have them delivered by an NPORS Accredited Training Provider.
NPORS Accredited Training Providers (ATP) must meet the pre-application requirements and have completed an audit process to ensure that they have the facilities and resources in place to process operator applications prior to accreditation by NPORS.
An ATP who has a dedicated training centre will complete a technical audit and assessment to ensure the centre is safe place for the trainees and that all the facilities are in place to conduct the training and assessments.
An ATP can hold different statuses depending upon the nature of business, there are three types of Accredited Training Providers, which one are you?

Usually Self-employed Instructor or working in a partnership
Non-Commercial Training Provider
